Putnam Pride is a grassroots organization dedicated to building a welcoming community for queer people of all ages to gather and celebrate in Putnam County. We strive to take an intersectional approach that spotlights the most marginalized groups and to use our platform as a vehicle for creating real change. We believe that Black Lives Matter and trans rights are human rights.

2024 Statement:
We decry violence and oppression everywhere, including against the Jewish, Palestinian, Arab and Muslim communities in the face of current events. We denounce hatred toward and attempts to silence those who protest war and call for ceasefire. Pride was founded on protest and we stand with those calling for a permanent ceasefire by Israel and an end to war crimes against and devastation of people in Gaza. We reject the villainization and mischaracterization of student protesters. We call for the release of all hostages by Hamas. We vehemently reject antisemitism in all forms; we vehemently reject anti-Muslim/ anti-Arab and racist rhetoric.
